Disability

In Lancashire Constabulary we value every person and encourage those with disabilities to apply for jobs in the force. Whilst it may be impossible to be a police officer depending on the disability, there are many other police staff vacancies that disabled people can do.

We have a clear plan that sets out our approach to disabilities and this plan, the Disability Equality Scheme, also sets out our values, principles and standards.

Not only do we focus on the needs of our employees, we need to ensure that when we come into contact with people with disabilities that we treat them as individuals and make necessary adjustments to our service if required.
