Religion
The UK population is made up of a huge mix of different religions, faiths and cultures.
These are not the same as race. Religion is about a person's beliefs, ideas and practices.
Sometimes people belong to a religion because they are born into it. Others follow a faith because they have chosen its ideals and ways of life.
Religions each have different traditions, holy days and holidays. National holidays in the UK follow the Christian calendar.
