Partners and PREVENT
The key aim of the PREVENT strategy is to:
Help local Lancashire authorities, the police, community safety partnerships and other partners and partnerships in the devolved administrations to develop and implement effective actions that will make their communities safer. This will reduce the risk from terrorism and violent extremism so that the people of Lancashire can go about their business freely and with confidence.
Experience has shown that the best results are achieved by:
- partnership working and community engagement - getting the right people working together
- understanding the challenge and its context
- developing an effective action plan
- managing risk
- tracking progress and evaluating success
- sharing learning
