What is it?
The 'Policing Pledge' is a set of standards which tells you the level of service you can expect to receive from police forces. It is often referred to as 'The Pledge'.

What does it mean for you?
The Pledge talks about ten areas of service and includes standards for answering calls promptly, how you can have a say over how your neighbourhood is policed, how you can expect to receive up to date information about local crime and how you will be supported if you are a victim of crime.
The good news for you if you live in Lancashire is that we have been working hard to become more citizen focused for a number of years and already meet the requirements of the Pledge in lots of ways.

A lot of what is contained in the Pledge is about Neighbourhood Policing and Lancashire has been recognised as the only force in the country to be 'exceeding the standard' in this area.
