Director of Resources

David Brindle is the Director of Resources. He joined the Constabulary in 1995 from KPMG in Leeds, where he was the senior manager responsible for their public sector, consultancy and audit practice.

David began his career at Bolton Borough Council where he qualified as a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountants (CIPFA) in 1972.

He joined the management consultancy practice of Price Waterhouse, based in Manchester in 1981, where his main clients were local authorities pursuing cost cutting and efficiency programmes.

In 1987 David moved to KPMG initially based in their Leeds office, but transferred in 1989 to their Sheffield office to set up a management consultancy practice. He moved back to Leeds in 1993.

Within the Constabulary, David is responsible for Finance, ICT, Estates, Corporate Services and Information Assurance.

David lives in Lancashire and is married with four grown up children.
