What do you want to happen in your area?

Your local team is all about finding local solutions to local issues and works closely with organisations to make this happen. It runs monthly meetings called Police and Communities Together (PACT) where you can talk about things that are happening in your area that you think need sorting out.

Priority 1:

Anti Social Activity within the play park area on George Street, Whalley during the evenings.

Priority 2:

Noise nuisance outside Rendezvous and The Conservative Club during the evening.

Priority 3:

Litter around the Co-op and McDonalds at Barrow.

Find out what we have been doing in the last month -

You said: Anti Social Behaviour on Whalley Park and George Street during the evenings.
We did. Usual extra patrols of the area during the evenings and eespecially at weekends.
As a result: Youths were stopped and spoken to, checks were made. Youth referrals forms were issued, parents will be made aware. 1 Fixed Penalty Notice was issued for alcohol.

You said: Noise nuisance outside Rendezvous and The Con Club during the evening.
We did: Liaised with licensing and RV supervision. We made a bid for help from the Support Unit who came over twice during the last month.
As a result: Large groups moved on quickly.

You said: Uncovered man holes along the footpath between Barrow Village and the Co-op.
We did: Spoke to the owner of the land to get this problem rectified.
As a result: Man holes re-covered.
