Find out what people said was important this month -

Priority 1:

Anti-social behaviour on the park on Chatburn Park Drive.

Priority 2:

Traffic offences being committed on King's Causeway.

Priority 3:

Find out what we have been doing in the last month -

1) You said:- Speeding traffic in Brierfield town centre.

We did:- The Neighbourhood Policing team conducted Operation Pathway.

As a result:- Fixed Penalty Notices issued to offenders. Local residents are aware that the police are taking positive action to crack down on traffic offences.

2) You said:- Youths causing anti-social behavior on Park Lane.

We did:- The sheds where the youths were gathering have been made secure and two Fixed Penalty Notices have been issued for possession of a class B drug.

As a result:- The youths are not congregating around the sheds anymore and there have been no more complaints from local residents.

3) You said:- Youths throwing stones on Halifax Road.

We did:- High visibility patrols made. Three youths identified as being responsible and dealt with via the Restorative Justice procedure.

As a result:- No further calls regarding stone throwing since the youths were dealt with.

The Neighbourhood Policing team have also been involved in the following:-

Two drugs warrants were recently executed in the Brierfield area. One resulted in the occupier being arrested for possession of a class B drug. In the other warrant a cannabis farm was discovered and over 100 plants were seized. The occupier was arrested and dealt with for cultivating the plants.
