What do you want to happen in your area?

Your local team is all about finding local solutions to local issues and works closely with organisations to make this happen. It runs monthly meetings called Police and Communities Together (PACT) where you can talk about things that are happening in your area that you think need sorting out.

Find out what people said was important this month -

Priority 1:

Mill Lane park. Incidents of golf balls being hit from the park over adjacent railway line towards houses. Local Councillor to facilitate placing a warning sign within the park combined with regular patrols to deter such activity.

Priority 2:

Avonbridge/Compton Green. Incidents of football related nuisance and anti-social behaviour in the area by youths.

Priority 3:

Janice Drive. Reports of motor-cycles and quad bikes riding through pedestrian only walkway in dip at end of Janice Drive.

Find out what we have been doing in the last month -

Priority 1: Conway Drive - To target and reduce groups causing problems in the walkway to the Leisure Centre from Conway Drive. This is especially prevalent at the beginning and end of school and during the hours of darkness.
UPDATE – The residents near to the walkway have been visited to check on current issues, regular patrols have been done in the area, no calls have been received of any further problems. Patrols will continue to maintain improvement.

Priority 2: Field Rear of St. Catherine’s Drive - Daytime. Off-road motor-cycles riding on field to rear of St Catherine’s Drive near to Boys Lane causing noise nuisance.
UPDATE – the area has been patrolled and monitored, local resident has been visited and appraised of ongoing police presence, occasional motor-cycle still heard though no other complaints received.

Priority 3: Anti Social Behaviour - Anytime. To target and reduce anti-social behaviour throughout the Cadley/Greyfriars area, particularly during school holidays.
UPDATE – Local hotspots have been patrolled regularly, assisted by a dedicated vehicle and crew assigned to deal with anti-social behaviour complaints. Work remains ongoing due to busy periods in Mill Lane area and Avonbridge.
