Find out what people said was important this month -

Priority 1:

Anti Social Behaviour on Kingsfold Park - Older youths causing problems for younger children.

Priority 2:

Anti Social Behaviour outside Bargain Booze and BET FRED on Pope Lane.

Priority 3:

Anti Social Behaviour - Abbott Meadow, Penwortham 7pm - Midnight

Find out what we have been doing in the last month -

Priority 1:
You said: There was a problem with Anti Social Behaviour on ABBOTT MEADOW where the footpath meets STRICKLANDS LANE with groups gathering drinking alcohol.

We did: Increased Police patrols in and around the area conducting stop checks/ searches on individuals to disperse them from the area. We also seized alcohol from youths.

As a result: We received no calls to the area of ABBOTT MEADOW during the month.

Priority 2:
You said: There was a problem with youths congregating on KINSGFOLD PARK drinking alcohol and causing anti social behavior and that the older groups were causing problems to younger children wanting to play on the park.

We did: High visible foot patrol in the area- moving groups away. We also issued youths with fixed penalties for causing criminal damage around the community centre.

As a result: We have seen a dramatic reduction in calls reporting problems on the park and the younger groups are able to enjoy using the facilities the park provides.

Priority 3:
You said: Residents and passers by where concerned by large groups congregating outside BETFRED and BARGAIN BOOZE causing Anti Social Behaviour on POPE LANE and using intimidating methods..

We did: We provided reassurance in the area by being highly visible and spoke with local shop owners to ensure they report any groups gathering in the area. We also ensured the CCTV system from the SHAMPAN Restaurant is now working in order to deter groups from causing Anti Social Behaviour.

As a result: We have received far less calls reporting Anti Social Behaviour in the area.
