Man jailed after high value drugs stop

Thursday, March 28, 2024

A man has been jailed for almost five years after we stopped him with almost half a million pounds worth of cocaine in his car boot.

On 13th February 2024 officers stopped a BMW Z4 being driven by David Hudson as it travelled along the M55 towards Blackpool.

Hudson admitted that there were drugs in his vehicle and during a search officers located six kilograms of high purity cocaine with a street value of almost half a million pounds (pictured).

Hudson was arrested and when officers searched his home address on Mythop Road in Blackpool they found a substantial cannabis growing set up.

Today (Thursday, March 28th) Hudson, 47, was sentenced to 56 months in prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine and production of cannabis.

We will continue to target those who seek to profit from the production and sale of illegal drugs.
