POLICE in Chorley have released CCTV of a man they wish to speak to in connection with an arson in the town in December.

At approximately 4am on Christmas day morning, police were called by the fire brigade to an address on Seymour Street, Chorley to reports of a fire inside the address.

It was quickly established by the fire investigators that the fire was suspicious and an investigation was launched by police.

Three men aged in their early twenties have been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing. Police believe the man pictured may also be able to help with enquiries and are urging him to come forward.

The man is believed to have left The George public house at 03:45am on Christmas day morning and walked through the town centre, over the bypass, up Steely Lane onto Seymour Street.

DC Carl Tobin said, "After reviewing CCTV footage it is thought that this man could have information that could assist us with our enquiries and I would ask him to contact police."
