FOOTBALL legend Jimmy Armfield presented a television and Xbox to the after school club at Lytham St Annes High School after local police successfully secured funding.
It is hoped that the new equipment will provide entertainment for the pupils when school finishes and will encourage them to use the facility to socialise with friends.
The equipment, which cost £400, was funded by the Lancashire Partnership Against Crime (LANPAC), for which the former England and Blackpool footballer is Chairman.
PC John Roper, Fylde Youth Involvement Officer, said: "The after school club at Lytham St Annes High School is a great resource for the pupils and provides a safe environment for them to socialise with friends and engage in activities.
"The new television and Xbox will hopefully encourage more people to use the facility, which is not only a benefit for the youngsters, but for the local community as it provides somewhere for the young people to have fun."
Jimmy Armfield attended the after school club to officially present the equipment.
LANPAC is a registered charity which raises additional resources from the annual fee paid by its members, as well as through fundraising events, charitable donations and grants.
