Positive Action
Positive Action is about promoting Lancashire Constabulary as a career choice and making sure that all sections of the community have access to information. At the application stage minority ethnic applicants have the opportunity to discuss their application with a member of the team, to ask advice and talk about any concerns.
There are four stages to Positive Action
- Initial Awareness of Lancashire Constabulary
- Application Pack
- National Assessment Centre
- Physical Test (Female applicants)
At the National Assessment Centre (NAC) stage applicants are invited to a formal session where they are given an overview of the NAC and what to expect. All applicants have access to the same information before attending the NAC.
Female applicants have the opportunity to come to Headquarters and have two practice sessions for the physical test, prior to their actual test. The reason we do this is because fewer female applicants pass the physical test.
