Police Community Support Officers

Police Community Support Officers (PCSO's) usually work as part of a local neighbourhood policing team with the main duties of;
- Being a point of contact for all members of the community
- Being a highly visible patrol and working with other organisations on problems such as anti-social behaviour.
To be a PCSO you need to be at least 18 years old. There is no height or qualification requirement, but you will need to be able to adapt to all kinds of situations with a positive approach.
The starting pay for a new PCSO is just under £15,000 and can rise to just over £17,000 depending on length of service.
