Why have I not received a conditional offer of a fixed penalty?
There are two main reasons why you may not be eligible to receive a Conditional Offer, these being:
Out of time
Excess speed is a summary offence and any prosecution must be commenced within six months of that offence being committed, because of the timescales involved in your particular case we are unable to send you a Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty and instead the matter must be referred to the Magistrates’ Court.
Excess Speed
Due to the speed detected we are unable to deal with this notice by way of Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty and the matter must be referred to the Magistrates’ Court.
The Magistrates Court will then liaise with you directly and in due course.
