My driver's photo card driving licence has expired during the COVID-19 pandemic, what do I do?

If your photocard driving licence or your entitlement to drive expires between 1 February 2020 and 31 December 2020, you have an 11-month extension from the date of expiry. The extension will take effect automatically and the licence holder will not need to take any action.

For further information can be found on the Coronavirus guidance page on GOV.UK

The legal requirement to notify the DVLA of the onset or worsening of a medical condition remains and it will be an offence not to comply. More information can be found on GOV.UK here.
