A man has been charged with two counts of robbery following incidents at McColls convenience store in Penwortham.
Jason Winstanley, 18, of Turpin Green Lane, Leyland will appear at Preston Magistrates’ Court this morning (Wednesday 20th December) charged with two counts of robbery.
At around 7pm on Tuesday 28th November, a man has entered McColls in Leyland Road where he approached the till and threatened a staff member with a knife. The offender made demands for money and left with around £200.
We were called about another offence at around 7.40pm on Monday 4th December after a man walked into McColls and demanded cash.
He then jumped over the counter and used a hammer to smash open the till before making off with a large quantity of cash and cigarettes.
