Witness appeal launched following Blackburn collision

We are appealing for information after a pedestrian has been seriously injured in a collision.

Police were called at 18:30 hours on Thursday 25th January to reports of a collision on Livesey Branch Road, Blackburn.

It involved a blue Nissan X-Trail and a female pedestrian.

The pedestrian, who is in her 70s, was taken to Royal Preston Hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police would now like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision.

Sergeant Lee Harris of Lancashire’s Road Policing unit, said: “This is a serious collision which happened on a busy road at peak time. We’re appealing to anyone who was in the area at this time, and who has information, to come forward."
