Detectives investigating a robbery in Blackpool have released CCTV images of a man they want to identify.

Around 12.30am on August 9, a 21-year-old man was walking with another man and three women on Devonshire Road. As the group turned towards a cut-through leading to the junction of Enfield Road and Fielding Road, the victim was attacked and punched to the back of the head.

The 21-year-old man fell to the floor, with the second man continuing to punch him before taking the victim’s phone, a black Google Pixel 3A. The attacker and the women then made off from the scene.

The victim suffered an eye injury and was later treated at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

Following CCTV enquiries police are keen to identify this man, pictured, in connection with the offence.

Det Con Adam Townsend, of Blackpool CID, said: “We know someone will recognise this man and want to find him as soon as possible.

“I would encourage anyone with information to come forward immediately.”

Anyone who recognises the man can call (01253) 604141 or email quoting log reference 0105 of August 9.
