Two charged in connection with sexual assault investigation

TWO men have been charged by detectives as part of an investigation into trafficking and sexual abuse of women and girls in Preston.
Police launched an investigation in 2019 following reports of sexual assaults on a number of girls.
And now two men have been charged in connection with the inquiry.
Amos O’Cheng (7/6/69) and Dickson Ngaunde (20/12/83) are charged with a number of offences. 
O’Cheng, of Winckley Square, Preston is charged with:
  • Rape a girl aged 13 / 14 / 15 - SOA 2003 (05/11/2019 - 08/11/2019)
  • Rape a woman 16 years of age or over - SOA 2003 (05/11/2019 - 08/11/2019)
  • Rape a woman 16 years of age or over - SOA 2003 (08/10/2019 - 11/10/2019)
  • Rape a woman 16 years of age or over - SOA 2003 (01/10/2019 - 31/10/2019)
  • Rape a woman 16 years of age or over - SOA 2003 (17/10/2019)
  • Arrange or facilitate travel of another person with a view to exploitation (01/09/2019 - 08/11/2019)
  • Arrange or facilitate travel of another person with a view to exploitation (01/09/2019 - 08/11/2019)
  • Arrange or facilitate travel of another person with a view to exploitation (06/10/2019)
  • False imprisonment (06/10/2019)
  • Attempting to Supply Class A Controlled Drug (15/10/2019 - 18/10/2019)
  • Supply a controlled drug of Class A - Cocaine (05/11/2019 - 08/11/2019)
  • Supply a controlled drug of Class A - Cocaine (05/11/2019 - 08/11/2019)
  • Supply a controlled drug of Class B - Cannabis (01/09/2019 - 08/11/2019)
 
Ngaunde, of Stanford Avenue, Brighton, Sussex is charged with:
  • Rape a woman 16 years of age or over - SOA 2003 (17/10/2019)
  • Arrange or facilitate travel of another person with a view to exploitation (06/10/2019)
  • False imprisonment (06/10/2019)
 
The allegations relate to six female victims aged between 14 and 19 years of age.
Ngaunde appeared before Preston Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, June 18th and was remanded in custody.
O’Cheng is due to appear before the same magistrates’ court on Friday, June 19th
