A van stolen from an address in Darwen has been recovered in Greater Manchester.
On Saturday (June 27) we appealed for information about a Ford Transit van containing hazardous materials was stolen from the Elswick Street area on June 22.
Officers appealed for information as the van contained a hazardous material called Talunex, a poison used to exterminate rats and moles. Talunex is fatal if ingested or inhaled and toxic if touched.
Yesterday (Wednesday, July 1), officers from Greater Manchester Police located the vehicle on Leconfield Drive, Blackley, with the Talunex found to have been removed from the van. Greater Manchester Police is now leading the investigation to find and safely recover the items.
