Operation Hunter update: Another wanted man arrested

Tuesday, November 9, 2021

A man wanted as part of Operation Hunter has been arrested.

Leigh Riley, 46, from Morecambe who was wanted in connection with an assault and criminal damage at an address in Preston was arrested this morning and is currently in custody.

This comes after Simon Long, 41, from Southport was arrested and charged with criminal damage over the weekend.

Thank you to everyone who shared our earlier appeals for information.

That's eight down, one to go of the latest Operation Hunter most wanted individuals.

Launched in July, Operation Hunter sees taskforce officers from across the Force as well as specialist units including Tactical Operations and the ANPR intercept teams target individuals wanted for a range of offences including domestic abuse, sexual offences and general criminality.

We arrest a significant number of people who are wanted as part of our daily business. However, a small number of people will do all that they can to evade capture by the Police and go to ground.

If you recognise the remaining outstanding wanted man please contact us on 101 quoting log number 0526 of October 6.

As well as Blackpool Madine has links to Bispham and Fleetwood.
