It is alleged by the Appropriate Authority that being a Police Officers with Lancashire Constabulary, Police Constable 8196 Salway breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour set out in Schedule 2 to the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020.
It is alleged that on 4th January 2026, Police Constable 8916 Salway whilst off duty assaulted a colleague by striking him to the head.
It is alleged the matters aforesaid amount to gross misconduct and to a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour of Authority, Respect and Courtesy and Discreditable Conduct.
A limited number of seats are available for members of the public and accredited press reporters/media representatives to observe proceedings. Seats are allocated in advance and are issued on a first come first served basis.
