Request a collision report

If you're a solicitor or an insurance agent, you can apply, on behalf of your client, for a copy of any existing collision reports we have made or hold. You can also request an interview with the police officer who dealt with the road traffic collision.

How to apply

All disclosure of information requests relating to Road Traffic Collisions must be submitted via the eCLiPS portal.

If you know the collision reference number, please include this, along with as much detail about the collision as possible. 

If your enquiry does not relate to a request for disclosure, please email us.

Costs

Request for police reports: £130.70.

Request for limited particulars only £46.40 (although this information is also incorporated within the police report).

Request to interview a police officer: £188.30.

How long does it take?

Due to the nature of this type of enquiry a search can take a considerable time.

We endeavour to action all requests as quickly as possible. The enquiry status will be updated automatically on the portal as we action requests, please do not chase us as this may cause additional delays.
