Mark joined Lancashire Constabulary in 1996, starting his career as a PC in Accrington. He has undertaken a breadth of uniform and detective roles across all three divisions of the Constabulary, and prior to joining the Chief Officer Team in March 2024 he was the East Divisional Commander.
Mark has previously held several senior management positions within the Constabulary, including Head of Investigations and Safeguarding, Head of the Professional Standards Department, and Operations Manager roles in South and West divisions.
Mark is also a Gold Public Order Commander and Strategic Firearms Commander.
As ACC for Crime and Specialist Operations, Mark is responsible for Crime, Specialist Capabilities, Vulnerability, and he also has force responsibility for Investigations.
