  • Our priorities
  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

The top priority identified by Bourne ward residents through Lancashire Talking is currently:

    Road Safety

    Issued 01 April 2026

    Action taken:

Road Safety - Keeping Wyre’s Roads Safe

Making our roads safer for everyone is a key focus for the Wyre Neighbourhood Policing Team and our partners. We’re working hard to tackle behaviours that put lives at risk, and your support plays a big part in that.

    Speeding
If speeding is an issue where you live, you can report it online through the Lancashire Road Safety Partnership. When concerns are raised, we may carry out Community Road Watch sessions or run targeted speed enforcement in problem areas.

    School Drop-Off and Pick-Up
We understand how worrying unsafe driving and parking outside schools can be for parents and local residents. Our officers regularly visit schools to promote safe behaviour, share advice through schools and social media, and work closely with Wyre Borough Council’s Parking Enforcement team to deal with persistent problems.

    Anti-Social Driving & Drink/Drug Driving
Dangerous or irresponsible driving has no place on our roads. We continue to carry out focused patrols and enforcement operations to keep our communities protected.

    How You Can Help
If you see dangerous driving or parking, please report it via the Lancashire Police website or speak directly with your local neighbourhood officers.
Together, we can help make Wyre’s roads safer for everyone.

  • Priority:

ASB is one of the top priorities you have also raised to us through Lancashire Talking.

    Issued 01 April 2026

    Action taken:

    ASB

Op Centurion is Lancashire Police’s answer to ASB, with dedicated patrols in identified areas across Wyre. Specialist antisocial behaviour (ASB) cars are regularly tasked in the Wyre area, including Bourne Ward.

Identified hotspots or repeat areas are also discussed with partners at youth and adult ASB meetings.

Wyre NHPT have also made great use of civil orders of late to deal with ASB. Across the Wyre area, this has included Community Protection Warnings, Community Protection Notices, Civil Injunctions, Criminal Behaviour Orders and even Closure Orders at properties causing and linked to ASB and Crime.
Wyre has also seen a steady decline in ASB reported incidents.

    Actioned 30 June 2026

  • Priority:

Bourne Ward residents have also highlighted Drug taking as a concern.

    Issued 01 April 2026

    Action taken:

    Drugs

Wyre NHPT are proactive in their targeting of drug related activity.

We tackle all drug related activity head on in Wyre and deal robustly with those involved. Since the start of 2023 we have seized nearly £4 million pounds worth of drugs, taken over £370,000 in cash off Organised Crime Groups and made over 250 arrests of high risk offenders and people linked to drug supply who have received over 100 years in sentences.

We will continue to tackle drugs use at all levels and work with local and national partners to provide support, guidance and education around drug use.
