Man charged following two burglaries and a theft in Preston and South Ribble

We have charged a man following two burglaries and a theft in Preston and South Ribble.

The burglaries happened at addresses in Penwortham and Walton-la-Dale in March and on Monday this week (15th April, 2024). Watches, jewellery and electrical equipment worth around £12,000 were taken along with around £1000 in cash. 

Yesterday, a 50-year-old man was arrested by the South Residential Burglary team on suspicion of burglary in a dwelling and fraud by false representation. 

Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, Nathan Redmond, 50, of St James Court, Lostock Hall, has been charged with two counts of burglary and four counts of fraud by false representation. 

He has been remanded into custody and will appear before Preston Magistrates this morning.
